Potty Song

Here's the latest video of our little guy. He's been doing so well with potty training...let's just hope he keeps it up (and that I didn't just jinx us)! We do a little celebration "tee tee in the potty" dance and I had to get his sweet little voice recorded so that I'll always remember it.
(Sorry the video is sideways...anyone know how to fix that?)

And, stay tuned for another video that we're working on. Colton surprised us all a few nights ago by pointing to the letter magnets on the fridge...and getting SIX OF THE SEVEN letters correct! Seriously?! I guess it really helps to have a big sister who's learning to read!

Our Little Graduate!

Our Kennedie Lane had her Pre-K graduation today! Where did the time go?!?! Our sweet baby girl is now officially a Kindergartener! She's thrilled about starting Kindergarten. Now we're ready to enjoy our summer and start going to the water park! Here's a few pictures from our day....Kennedie and her 2 best buds at school, Kylee and Avery. Look at how tall she is! Her birthday is in November and these other two girls have birthdays in October and November...she's just so tall! Their teachers started calling them the 3 musketeers because they do everything together!
Kennedie with her sweet Apple and Kyle.
And here's our family. (Notice the grip I have on Colton's leg...I'm tickling him...the only way I can get him to smile for my family pictures!)

"Mama, need to fix da choo choo!"

Colton is ALL BOY!! He loves his tools and trucks. I kept hearing him say, "Mama, need to fix da choo choo. Need Pat (the hammer) and Squeeze (the pliers). Need to fix da choo choo." So he grabbed his toolbox and got to work! He is willing to fix anything that he thinks needs fixing...the dining room chairs, his cars...anything!

Yesterday we participated in the Fireman's 5K. We've been doing this for several years now, and Kennedie really looks forward to it. It's done in memory of 2 fallen firemen who died in a church fire in River Oaks. James has always run it with Kennedie in the jogging stroller. As big as she is now, she did convince her Daddy to let her ride in it again! Next year will be brother's turn. Colton and I walked the 1 mile course, so we had a little time to play while we waited for Daddy and sister. Dodger, the Fort Worth Cats mascot, was there and Colton warmed up to him quickly. They played catch and just hammed it up! Here's some fun pictures of that...

Program, Ball & Bunny

Long time, no blog!

Here's a few pictures of what we've been up to lately...

Kennedie had her Spring Program on Tuesday. And this is her singing and doing the sign for Lord...no James, she's not throwing gang signs!

Here's my little man hanging out at sister's tee-ball game...
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my new camera?!

And our "pet" bunny made an appearance this morning! She was VERY hungry!
Hope y'all have a great Memorial Day! Remember to thank those who have served and are serving our country for your freedom...

It's a Bird, It's a Plane...

It's Colton!!!

We've been wanting to do a picture like this for awhile, and since it was SO beautiful outside today...we decided to try! Colton loves to be thrown "HIGH!" up in the air...so here's what I got! I love it, but James thinks we can get a better shot...so stay tuned for another!

Wii and Mother's Day

We had a great visit from James' mom last week! Kennedie taught her all about Wii and showed her how to bowl! Here's some fun pictures of them...

And this picture CRACKS me up! Look at Kennedie...tongue in cheek (intense concentration), you can even see the fast movement of her controller...and yes, she IS an expert bowler on Wii...she has a higher overall average than both James and I! Then, look at my little ham! He has been taught well...I love it how he knows to pose when Mommy's taking pictures!!!

James had drill over the Mother's Day weekend (who plans that??) so the kids and I started the day out a church together. The service was so great and each of the kids made me something special! We later went to my parents to celebrate my mom. It was a great day!

This was my 6th Mother's Day! I look back at pictures all the time of this precious baby girl that we were blessed with, and I'm just amazed at what a beautiful little girl she has become! And here's my handsome boy today! He is such an absolute joy! He is talking so much now...Kennedie thinks it's hilarious when I call him my little mockingbird!
And here's one sweet one of 2 of the guys in my life!
I got an unexpected gift from James Avery from my parents (thanks guys!) and came home to open up this cool gift from my guy...

It's a really cool set of 4 bowls and they stack together to look like a blooming rose! I found them in a Sandra Lee magazine and fell in love with them! I sent the link to James, and look what the UPS man brought to me! Thanks honey!

And I'll leave you with a quick 'Kennedie-ism'... She was telling me all about her newest loose tooth and how adults cannot loose teeth because you only have one set of permanent teeth. I told her that you have to take care of your teeth and that I was actually going to the dentist the next day. She then says, "Well, you have to eat healthy things, like vegetables, oxidants and calories." Seriously?! I LOVE this girl!!!

Well, the day that Kennedie has been practicing for finally arrived! She had her very first dance competition today! They did awesome! Here's a few quick pics...
