Happy 2 Handed Birthday!!!

Well, it finally happened...as much as I told her that she was NOT ALLOWED to turn six...she did! =) My precious BABY girl isn't such a baby anymore. She's off to kindergarten every single day, reading everything that she sees, and becoming such a beautiful little person.
Brother picked out a lip gloss/body glitter cell phone to give her...she LOVED it and he was so excited to give it to her! (I was looking at this picture later...yes, we love chips- ha!)
And true our birthday tradition, brother got a small gift too...a little Santa train...he has had so much fun with it!
I was able to go eat with the Birthday Girl at her school, so I took her a 6 cupcake!Beautiful girl!
She's so excited about being 2 hands old...this is her new favorite pose- lol!

Oh, my heart is just so full of love for this girl!

And this boy...oh.my. Presh.

(I just got my IDEAL lens...and am in LOVE with it! Loving my new pictures it's taking!)
Our little family birthday party at our house on her actual birthday...

Brother offerred his help! lol! She was smart enough to blow out the candles on his side 1st, so that he couldn't get to them first! lol!
The gift that she was "dreaming" about...her new Nintendo DS! Lucky girl!

Marine Corps Ball 09

We had our BIG night out this past weekend and got to celebrate the Marine Corps 234th Birthday! We had an amazing time, went out on the town afterwards, and I even managed to surprise James with my new dress!
James was able to get his mentor, Top Harvey, to come be the guest speaker at the ball this year (he's the one right next to James). He was BY FAR the BEST speaker we've ever had!!! They asked James to come take a picture with all of the "old guys!" Ha!
And the silly poses have begun.... LOL!
(Many thanks to my friend Sabrina for the awesome make-up! Love it!!!)
Um yeah...not done yet...
Had an awesome night! Thanks baby and Happy Birthday Marines!!

Veteran's Day 09

We continued our annual Veteran's Day tradition this year and took Kennedie & Colton to the Veteran's Day parade in downtown Fort Worth. Yes, Kennedie is in kindergarten this year, but we decided that this is something that is very important in our family and we want for her to understand and to see first hand. We did take her to school afterwards, even though it meant being counted absent for the day. We are so proud of all the veterans in our lives, Daddy, Poppa, Grandpa, and both great Grandpas...and she understands that...and for that...I am thankful.

My 2 favorite high & tight hair cuts around! =)

Precious
mmm...2 cheesy grins....

My Boys.
This was what Colton was looking forward to...THE TUBAS!!!

He started waving at the people in the parade =)

Halloween Pics

We spent the morning of Halloween at the Firefighter Combat Challenge, watching James and his team. They set a new record for themselves and did an amazing job!!!
We took the kids to Colton's school for a Halloween carnival, where they had games, bounce houses...all kinds of fun!
Kennedie planned her and her brother's Halloween costume's MONTHS ago! She adores Bindi the Jungle Girl (Steve Irwin's daughter) and wanted to dress just like her...easy enough! And whenever someone would ask Colton his name, he'd answer, "I'm Super Colton!" So, she decided that he needed a cape! So, I got right on that.
I just love this picture...look at how excited she looks!

Football toss
Arm wrestling! Ha! =)
Colton LOVED this GI Joe
Yum-O!

And then we were off to Granny & Poppa's...they were so excited to ring their doorbell!!
Silly Poppa!
