The latest photos

Wowzers! To say I've been busy this past month is quite an understatement. Halloween, Kennedie's birthday, family in from out of town, school stuff...seriously! I can't believe it's been more than a month since I've blogged. Yikes!
Well, I've been thinking for some time now that I'd really like to start a business. I'm constantly thinking about it and thinking about it. And a big part of it, is just taking the leap and doing it! So, I just sent off to have a logo made and I've now done 2 hired shoots! So, kelli d photography is being born!
Luckily, my sweet friend asked me to take pictures of her girls and let me bring my kiddos for a few pics. She has such a great eye and wonderful ideas! Just take a look at these 3 FOOT balloons she found! So fun!
Here's a few I took of my kids...they're not edited yet...that seems to be what I spend most of my time doing these days. Yes, I'm on the computer...not blogging but editing!

My sweet Kennedie had her first performance with her new dance class today! She just started at the beginning of school and these girls did so great! I'm so proud of her!

Photoshop Galore!

Hey friends! I've really been slacking on the good 'old blog lately. We had an amazing time in Mexico! Apple was absolutely beautiful and she & Kyle are so, so happy!

So with all of that traveling, you can only imagine how many pictures I took. (Ok, let's just say it was a hair over 1,200. I know, I know...but we were there for 6 nights! And I shot a wedding!)

So I've been an editing, photoshopping fool! I thought it would be fun (and good for me in a few months) to look at my edits, before and after. Here's a peek...

We passed this awesome purple wall several times a day. Isn't it pretty? So on our very last night there, we stopped for a little photo op. Here's the before...

I bought a brand new tripod to bring with us. I set it up one night and set the timer. I could not be more thrilled!!!
But, here's the before...(notice my tan lines)

The kids discovered a love for virgin pina coladas. They opted to take a break from sand castle building to share one. Pure sweetness.

I asked them to walk down the beach a little ways. Colton wasn't thrilled with holding sister's hand (if you look closely, you can see she's holding on to his forearm, ha!)

New Photos and Randomness

Wow, this is probably the longest I've gone without blogging! I guess getting back into the groove of school and activities is really taking a lot.

I've been trying to get ready and practice my photography with Apple's wedding coming up! I even took an awesome workshop last weekend. Here's a few of the latest ones...

Our sweet friend, Ashlee Morgan...it was a dreary cloudy day and I figured out how to add in a beautiful sky behind her! Cool, huh?

Ok, let's COMPLETELY shift gears! Here's a gnarly pic of brother bear's stitches right before we removed them. It's healed so well and looks awesome already!

James took the canoe out one day and Colton decided he wanted to hang out on the dry land with me...so I snapped these few! (Taking self portraits with this big camera is no small feat!)

And I kept hearing giggles coming from Kennedie's room before I took her to school one day. They were playing so well! These are such fun, fun ages!

End of Summer & Start of School!

Well, Granny & Poppa's brand new pool was ready just in time before school started! The kids were overjoyed! Kennedie got a brand new snorkel to try out...and it took her one try to get the hang of it!

He tried floating on his back for the 1st time. His swim teacher at swimming lessons could not get him to try this. But on his own...he was all about it!

My big, sweet girl started 1st grade last week! She was super excited, but a little nervous.

She was trying to explain to brother...why she had to stay at school...and that we'd come to pick her up in the afternoon. He was not happy about having to leave here there =(

And today was my Colton's first day of Mother's Day Out. He was less than thrilled to take his picture this morning. He wouldn't even let me take one of him with his teachers. And so it begins...

Seriously y'all. I could EAT him!!!
