We're Ready for Spring!!

We've had the BEST week! The weather has been so amazing...we are so ready for spring to get here! I had to stop and remind myself the other day that it's still too early to buy flowers for the yard.
Brother and I picked up Kennedie from school today and drove straight to the park to feed the ducks (turns out they weren't so hungry...I guess everyone has been feeding them all week-ha!) and play. I just LOVE this 1st picture! They both climbed to the top of this rock climbing structure and sat. The sky was just perfect!

They are at the best ages right now! They really play so well together.

I took this one while we were sitting in the car pool line waiting for Miss K. He was standing and peeking out the sunroof!

Trying to lure some ducks and geese with our stale bread! They were not interested.

So sweet. (and K had penguin day at school...she's not normally dressed in all black!)

(Have to brag on the deal I got yesterday! Went to Children's Place and got an extra 50% off their clearance plus I had a $10 off coupon. So this polo and the cargo pants ended up being just over $1 each! LOVE that!!)

And this odd goose. He thought he was a flamingo! I'm pretty sure he (or she) was guarding a nest, but he stood like this and honked at anyone that got too close.

We've been enjoying lots and lots of backyard time, too! This little guy loves to swing!

He's just such a happy kid!

Beautiful big girl! She is reading everything now! She can pretty much read every book she owns now! Amazing!!

And we opened up the piggy banks last night. Kennedie gave her coins to her school who will donate them to children's cancer research. She had $25 and brother had $35! Such little savers already!

We celebrated James' birthday last week. I had lots of help making his cake!

The final product! (Does it look familiar? James requested the same cake that Madelyn had at her birthday in Longview.) It was delicious!

K's school had an Alley Cats night. Her sweet friend J got to come with us. So much fun!

(This one CRACKS me up! When she's really concentrating, she either holds her mouth funny, like so, or sticks her tongue out just a little bit. Lol!)

K thought it was funny that she could fit right on the back of his "motorcycle." C did not think it was quite so funny.
