Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

We picked Kennedie up early today and headed out to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. It was Military Appreciation Day and they let us in for free- what a great day!
Colton wasn't too sure about this giant tire...
We saw the cutest little baby pigs!! I was surprised at how fast they were. And that poor mama pig looked miserable- ha!
And we got there just in time to see some baby chicks hatching! It was so neat to get to show Kennedie something like that!
The rodeo was AMAZING! Where else can you hear an announcer thank God for all of the military, boast about how great TEXAS is, and then pray?? It was so great!!
Kennedie's favorite part of the entire day was the rodeo clowns! Check out his donkey! Lol!
And here they come...
This was pretty fun to watch! I guess you'd call it calf wrangling-ha! There were about 15 kids and they released 15 calfs. They had to wrestle one to the ground and then bring it to the center. It was pretty crazy!
And the calf roping was so fun to watch, too! These guys are amazing!

And I just like the way this one turned out...esp because it's blurry!
And this one's cool, too!

The trick roper was pretty neat...look at the size of that!

Chuckwagon races...so funny! They flung so much mud!!

Here's Kennedie's fav clown. Whenever he'd try to get the bull's attention, he'd yell "Here kitty, kitty!" She thought that was the funniest thing!!
The last bull actually took out the little fake clown at the end!
So, who gets up one day and says, "mmm, I think I want to get on a bull today"??? Seriously! Colton James, don't you EVER think about it!!
PRESH!!!
This bull cracked me up! He didn't want to return to the pen and the 2 horses started to run from him!
They had to lasso him and take him in...
That's a brave cowboy (and horse)!
Colton's favorite book right now is "Llama Llama Mad at Mama." So he was excited to see the llamas with his mama!!
They love the bunnies that show up in our backyard (when it's warmer out), so they were so excited to be able to pet bunnies!
Oh, Mama Llama!!! (look at C talking to her!)
Sweet girl!
And this was my favorite KID that I saw all day- lol!!! He was so tiny!

And finally, they were just having such a great time in the bath tonight. Doesn't Colton just look so big here??
