100th Post!!!

Ok, so I've seen other blogs saying that it's tradition to post 100 things about yourself once you've reached your 100th post. So, here I am! And, here I go!

1. I have 2 kids, almost 2 and 5.

2. I met my hubby on a blind date 11 years ago.

3. We both knew very quickly that we were "the one" for each other.

4. We were engaged after 8 months of dating.

5. We had a 10 month long engagement.

6. I lived at home until I got married.

7. James left for Egypt (with the Marines) for a tour (that was supposed to be 2 weeks and ended up being 3.5) 2 weeks after we got married...leaving me in an apartment all alone...I'd NEVER lived alone before!

8. Those first few months of marriage is the only time in my entire life that I didn't have a cat. A few months later...Howie!

9. 6 months after that...Harley!

10. Our first major purchase was our washer and dryer...and we're still using the same ones today.

11. I graduated in December and started teaching in January.

12. I taught at the very same school I went to!

13. The principal was still the same too...and he remembered me...and hired me!

14. I taught for 2 partial years and one full school year (I left in November for maternity leave).

15. James was deployed to California days before I found out I was pregnant with Kennedie.

16. James found out he was going to be a Daddy over the phone.

17. My room mother was a flight attendant and generously gave me flight passes, so I got to go see James in CA a few times!

18. James was able to come home earlier than the rest of his guys, so he painted the nursery and helped me get things ready.

19. I was induced with both of my babies...and loved it!

20. My same OB delivered both of my babies.

21. I am not a happy pregnant person.

22. I complained A LOT.

23. I had heartburn for the first (and only) time in my life when I was pregnant.

24. I was a very large pregnant woman.

25. I had great deliveries!

26. James said I was smiling through pushing...I was excited to meet my babies!

27. And I had good drugs! =)

28. Kennedie immediately stopped crying as soon as I started talking to her.

29. Kennedie still talks about the foggy morning that Colton was born...it amazes me that she remembers that!

30. Poppa took Kennedie to the lake to go fishing and almost missed being one of the first to see Colton!

31. I dilated really fast with Colton...and Kennedie for that matter!

32. The nurse almost delivered K!

33. She had to reach over my bed and hit the call button to page the Dr immediately...or else this baby was coming without his help!

34. Kennedie was so adorable when she first saw Colton.

35. All she could say was, "He's just so cute!" over and over!!

36. I was so blessed to have such healthy babies.

37. I nursed both of them until they were 11 months old.

38. When Colton was just a few weeks old, we found out James was being deployed to Iraq.

39. He left for predeployment in California when he was just 3 months old.

40. We did get to fly out to see him before he left.

41. Both kids have been to DisneyLand (granted, C was only 4 months old)!

42. That was one of the most difficult times in my life.

43. But looking back at it now, I am thankful for it.

44. Being a "single" parent was one of the hardest things EVER!

45. I'm not even halfway done...this is going to be hard!

46. I started this blog as a way to keep James updated with things that were going on at home and with the kids and it's ended up being a great way for me to journal about my babies growing up.

47. I love a deal! I rarely pay full price for anything. Just yesterday, I saved $27 in coupons...at Wal Mart!

48. I love online shopping. I even have my credit card number memorized (as well as the security code and expiration date).

49. eBay used to be my favorite...now it's Etsy! If you don't know about it...go now!

50. I'm halfway there...wahoo!

51. I love Yankee candles...by far my favorite.

52. My favorite Yankee scent is Wedding Day. My mom gave me one on my wedding day. I had never smelled it until then, but now it's my fav and I always have at least 2 jars in my house at all times.

53. I'm a car wash addict. My Tahoe is too big to do it myself too often, so we are frequent visitors to our local car wash. They even have a 5 day clean car guarantee...I love a deal, people!

54. James and I both park inside our garage.

55. I love to shoot guns.

56. I never shot one until I met James.

57. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people ask if I'm glad I had a boy.

58. I'm the oldest of 3 girls.

59. I was born in Arizona.

60. My parents are still HAPPILY married!

61. James parents are too!

62. How often do you hear of that?!

63. My sister Aubri goes by "Apple" to Kennedie. It was one of the first things Kennedie could say, and she just started calling her that...and it stuck...to this day!

64. Both of my babies were pretty routine. We stuck to naptime and bedtime schedules and still do.

65. We eat lunch at 11:00 and dinner at 5:00, unless we're out of town or meeting family.

66. I have never had a broken bone.

67. Or stitches (not counting wisdom teeth)!

68. Or surgery!

69. I had my first cavity after I got married.

70. And have had several since.

71. I hate getting my teeth cleaned, but do go twice a year.

72. I get laughing gas to get my teeth cleaned!

73. I get terrible headaches.

74. I've been to the ER more than once for headaches.

75. The worst one was right after C was born.

76. Turned out to be high blood pressure headache from the epidural.

77. Worst pain of my life.

78. Hurts just to think about it again!

79. I cannot sleep on my stomach since not being able to while being pregnant.

80. I have to have a pillow between my knees now, too.

81. I'm a handprint fanatic. If it has my child's handprint...I want it!

82. Same goes for anything monogrammed! I love anything with their names on it!
83. Last time I counted, Kennedie had 23 pairs of shoes. I know, it's out of control!

84. It's so fun dressing my kids!

85. My wardrobe has suffered because of it. =(

86. I'm in denial that my BABY will be 2 in just over ONE month!

87. I refuse to plan his party...but I know I need to get on the ball.

88. James missed his 1st birthday, so this one has to be good!

89. Speaking of baby...he just tried to climb out of his crib for the first time! AAH! Kennedie NEVER tried that! My heart is still pounding! Guess it's time for the toddler bed....

90. I refuse to watch horror movies or movies that will make me cry. I've never seen "I am Sam" because I know I'll cry. Yes, maybe it's a good movie, but I have enough real life reasons to cry.

91. My mom has a scary premonitions...she'll freak your freak!

92. I've never missed an episode of Survivor. It starts up again TOMORROW! James really wanted to try out for it this season...they had auditions in Terrell. He's away from home enough!

93. I love Desperate Housewives but am over Grey's and haven't watched it since last season.

94. I hate to cook but love to bake.

95. I have this annoying habit of when I see something cute...I say, "Mmm, I think I could make that" then never get around to it.

96. I have a ridiculous supply of fabric and ribbon for projects.

97. Kennedie inherited my crafty gene! The girl is CRAFTY!

98. I took 3 years of spanish in high school and 2 in college. It's scary how much I actually remember.

99. Kennedie's ability for naming baby dolls cracks me up! My "grandbabies" are Breeka, Capri Sun and Kate! Random!

100. I didn't have curly hair until after my babies were born! Who knew?!

So there you have it...100 random facts about yours truly.

Now here's 2 new pictures of my precious babies that I just finished editing. I could absolutely just eat them up.

WELL I READ IT FINALLY. WHY AM I TYPING IN ALL CAPS? O.K- this is better. I still remember talking to you when you were in car on your way home from purchasing the washer/dryer. I don't know why I remember that conversation. I haven't had a cavity since wedding, I had them all filled in high school. lol. Really, no stitches? The wisdom teeth ones count and so do the labor ones. LOL. Actually, I didn't have those, I had the stitches right across my upper pelv area! You forgot to mention that you are a very generous person and would probably walk through fire for a friend. :) Enjoyed your list. Lots I did know but Lots I did NOT know!
