Crafty cures the blues!

Candice recently talked about being in a funk and her cure for her funk was writing. I have had so many things on my mind lately, as you may have seen from my previous posts, and my heart has just been so heavy. I found myself crafting...and then I realized it! Crafting was MY cure! And this past week, I was doing it over and over and over again!!! It started with painting the kitchen. Then, we visited Candice in Colleyville and found this great little shop called Chelsea Lane. We went to look for some new bows for Kennedie...yes, she needed new bows! I noticed this BRIGHT blue frame on their little clearance table...it was normally $34...and was marked down to..........$6.80!

Wow! Well yes, it's a pretty blue, but a little too tacky and bright to fit in at my casa, but I snagged it. Candice kind of looked at me like I had lost my marbles. Within an hour of coming home, I was in the garage with a can of leftover chocolate brown spray paint. And just like that, I have a brand new frame for my bathroom window! What do you think?!

So, I had the chocolate brown spray paint out and started to eye this old pitcher that has sat on top of my kitchen cabinets for the past several years. Well, it does not match anything in the kitchen any longer...
So, pitcher...meet spray paint!!!

I'm going to eventually add some off white flowers or something to it...just haven't gotten that far yet.

And for the final project! I bought K several plain t-shirts a while back. Here's what I did with one! (The turquoise is actually a dishcloth set that I bought in the dollar spot at Target a few months ago...I just liked the texture and thought it would be cute on something!) AND, those are the new bows we bought her!!!
