Lately my girl has been CRACKING me up! I've been saying for days that I need to write these things down, and just when I'm about to, she comes up with another one! Here's a few...
*I asked James where he put the Sunday paper and he said he didn't remember. Kennedie says, "Sounds like you have short term memory loss." The look on James' face was absolutely priceless!!! He had her repeat it to me and I thought I was going to fall over. We asked her where she heard that...Dori from Finding Nemo, of course!
*Then she was repeating another line from Nemo (a new favorite in our house, thanks to brother). "P Sherman, Wallaby Way, Sydney Australia." "But Mommy, it isn't Australia, it's Sydney Opera House." REALLY???
*We were driving in North Arlington over the weekend and drove by the massive new Cowboys Stadium. Granny told her that that's where the Cowboys were going to play. "No, it isn't. That's where they do the Olympics." Yes, we have our hands full...and we know it!
*I took the kids and my mom to the peddler show, a local craft show with lots of vendors...I love it!!! It comes to town twice a year and everytime I tell Kennedie we're going, she starts calling it a "junk show!" She doesn't enjoy walking the aisles of cute crafts and such, like her mommy.
*I turned on the Ellen show this afternoon and she had several Irish dancers on for St. Patrick's Day. I called Kennedie in the room to see the dancers. She says, "Oh yeah, those are Irish Step Dancers!" Seriously, how does she know these things?!
*She was drawing a cat on some paper the other day and started tracing it in pink. I asked her why she chose pink and she said, "Mommy. It's just the alignment. I'm going to color it in." Obviously she meant that she was outlining it, but still!
*I made some Pillsbury sugar cookies tonight and she loved them. As I was putting her in the bath she says, "Mommy, these cookies are so delicious. You should make cookies for the Girl Scouts!"
And she just received a new journal in a birthday goody bag. She has been writing in it everyday and is just flooring me with how well she's sounding out words and writing them in sentences. Here's a glance...

That journal is precious. She will love to look back at that in a few years.
I love the pic of the diary. What a momento. She'll have it forever. I still have all of mine!
