Kennedie has talked for years about getting her ears pierced. We had decided that her 6th birthday back in November would be a perfect time. But as it approached, she decided that she was just not ready. So I ask her every now and then, and even last week she was so against the idea...she said "I think I'll be ready when I'm 100."
On Wednesday, she had a little extra time before we left for school so she put on a pair of sticker earrings. I guess she fooled one of her little friends, who thought her ears were pierced. She then told her teacher that she was getting her ears pierced that afternoon! (This was news to me!) So as soon as I picked her up that day, she said that she was ready to have pierced ears and when could we go? I told her that I needed to talk to Daddy about it. Well, as soon as we walked in the door, she made a beeline to James. We talked about it and even found a place that had 2 workers so that they could pierce both ears at the same time. She was beyond excited!

She did so great!!!
Ta-da!!! Brother definitely lightened the mood when he found a mirror and started saying, "hellooooooo gorgeous!" (from alvin & the chipmunks!)
I'm just so proud of my sweet girl! She reminds me when it's time to clean them and she's been turning them often. So big!
